Sit back, relax, and soak in the heat. Alkaline hot springs have been used for healing and relaxation for a long time. These days, they are still excellent for relaxing but also offer something fun to do with a group of friends or family members. Traveling America is fun, but sometimes you need to stop and take a break from the usual tourist traps.

Hot springs are a great place to recharge and relax. There are hundreds of great ones to discover around America – some natural, some man-made hot springs resorts – but each has its own unique charm. The volcanic activity that shapes the land of America has left a lot of beautiful features and has created some spectacular landscapes that people can enjoy while soaking in natural hot pools.

These are magical places, full of mystical energies and ancient healing powers. They make for awesome weekend getaways, but can be tricky to navigate. So, we at Something Happenings have assembled a list of the best hot springs in the United States, as well as tips on how to get there and when to go. While most natural destinations are free and open to the public, some require membership or fees. Check before you go and make sure to Leave No Trace!

Hottest Hot Springs: Yellowstone National Park
