The vernal equinox marks the official first day of spring, Monday, March 20, at 2:24 P.M. PST. The spring equinox comes right after the switch to daylight saving time. In most places, the rain and snow has declined and temperatures have started to go up. But, what does this day of the year mean?

What Does it Mean?

Since the earth’s axis is tilted 23.5 degrees, the March equinox marks 12 hours of daylight in the northern hemisphere. The word equinox comes from aequus “equal” + nox (genitive noctis) “night”. Around the equinox, days and nights are the same length. Moving toward the summer solstice the days get longer, until the fall equinox, where day and night is the same again. Days get shorter moving toward the winter equinox.

The dates of the astronomical moments for 2023 are:

  • Spring: March 20 (spring equinox)
  • Summer: June 21 (summer solstice)
  • Fall: Sept. 22 (autumnal equinox)
  • Winter: Dec. 21 (winter solstice)

How to Celebrate the First Day of Spring

People have celebrated the coming of spring for as long as time. Whether for its religious or spiritual meaning or the restarting of the vegetation cycle, society has found ritual and ceremony around this time of year. Easter is a holiday associated with the coming of spring. Additionally, its roots may have originated from the pagan holiday, Ostara, still celebrated today by many.

Many others choose to celebrate aspects of wellness, growth, or goal setting for themselves. The reviving energy of the time of year can help nurture expansion, movement, and flow. For some, it might be a tropical vacation to somewhere warmer.

Final Thoughts

The spring equinox is one of the most beautiful times of the year, both in terms of temperature and energy. It helps us reconfigure our lives and priorities, as well as enjoy the extra sunlight preparing us for the summer ahead. In conclusion, no matter how you enjoy the spring equinox, make sure you do and plan to spend a part of it outside.

There’s something about a road trip that just feels right – the wind in your hair, the sun on your face, and the open road ahead of you. Whether you’re taking a cross-country trip or just driving to the grocery store, there’s something special about hitting the open road. In this blog post, we’ll explore the art of the road trip and discuss some tips for making your next journey an adventure to remember!

There’s something about a road trip that just feels right. The open road, the wind in your hair, and the freedom to go wherever you want – it’s an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. If you’re thinking of taking a road trip but aren’t sure where to start, don’t worry! We’re here to help. In this blog post, we will discuss everything you need to know about planning a successful road trip. From choosing the right route to packing for your journey, we’ve got you covered. So what are you waiting for? Hit the open road!

If you’re looking for a fun, affordable way to travel, consider taking a road trip. They are a great way to see the country (or the world) and they can be surprisingly economical – especially if you’re traveling with friends or family. In addition, road trips offer flexibility and spontaneity that other types of vacations don’t always provide.

Here are some tips for making your next road trip an adventure to remember:

Plan your route in advance

Proper planning and preparation is key when it comes to road trips. By taking the time to map out your route in advance, you can minimize the likelihood of getting lost and ensure that you hit all of the sights and destinations you want to visit. This may involve researching the best roads to take, factoring in traffic patterns and time of day, and identifying any scenic routes or must-see landmarks along the way. You can use online mapping tools, or print out a paper map for a more traditional approach. By planning your route ahead of time, you can feel more confident and relaxed on the road, knowing that you have a clear plan and itinerary to follow.

Check out your car

A road trip can be a fun and exciting adventure, but it’s important to make sure your vehicle is up to the task. Before setting out on your trip, it’s a good idea to perform a thorough check of your car, including fluid levels, brakes, tires, and engine. This can help you avoid any unexpected breakdowns or issues that could disrupt your journey. Some key things to check include: oil and coolant levels, battery charge, air pressure in tires, brakes and brake pads, and any warning lights on the dashboard. If you discover any problems, make sure to have them fixed before setting out on your trip to ensure a smooth and safe journey.

Bring refreshments

While on the road, it’s important to stay nourished and hydrated to keep your energy levels up and your spirits high. Packing a variety of snacks and drinks for the journey can help you avoid the hunger pangs and thirst that can sometimes arise during a long car trip. Whether it’s fruit, energy bars, sandwiches, or bottled water, having a variety of options on hand can make the drive much more enjoyable. You may also want to consider bringing a cooler or insulated bag to keep your drinks and snacks at a suitable temperature. With a well-stocked stash of refreshments, you can stay focused and energized on the road, and avoid the need to constantly make stops for food and drinks.

Don’t forget your map or GPS unit

When driving in unfamiliar territory, it’s important to have a reliable navigation system on hand to help you find your way. Whether you prefer a paper map or a GPS unit, having this information readily accessible can be a lifesaver if you need to find your way to a specific destination, or if you need to make a detour around unexpected road closures or traffic. Some phone apps, such as Gaia, allow you to access maps and save the offline. While GPS units are convenient, it’s also a good idea to have a backup plan, such as a paper map, in case you lose power or signal. With a map or GPS unit, you can feel more confident on the road, knowing that you have the information you need to find your way to your final destination.

Planning

Planning and embracing a successful journey can be a fun and rewarding experience. Whether you are traveling with friends, family, or solo, a road trip can provide an opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and create lasting memories. However, planning and executing a successful road trip can also be challenging, and requires careful consideration and preparation.

One of the key elements of planning a successful road trip is choosing a destination. Choosing a destination for your road trip can be hard with so many options. To narrow it down, think about what you and your travel companions enjoy. Outdoor enthusiasts may plan a route with hiking and camping. Foodies may plan a trip with visits to farmers markets and food festivals.

Road Trip Itinerary

Once you have chosen a destination, the next step in planning a successful road trip is to create a detailed itinerary. This can help you organize your trip and ensure that you make the most of your time on the road. When creating your itinerary, consider the distance and duration of your trip. Also, think of places you want to visit and the activities you want to do. If you are planning a road trip that spans several days, you may want to include a mix of activities. Consider sightseeing, hiking, and relaxing at a beach or park.

In addition to creating a detailed itinerary, it is also important to plan for potential challenges and unexpected events. This can help you stay flexible and adapt to changing circumstances, and ensure that your trip is successful and enjoyable. For example, you should plan for potential weather disruptions, such as storms or extreme temperatures. Consider how they might affect your itinerary. You should also plan for potential mechanical issues, such as a flat tire or a dead battery, and consider how you will handle these situations.

Be Prepared

One way to plan for potential challenges and unexpected events on your road trip is to carry essential supplies and equipment. This can include items such as a spare tire, a tire jack, a spare key, a flashlight, a first aid kit, and a map or GPS device. For more adventurous road trip and travel conditions, you may consider a small generator. Having these items on hand can help you handle common road trip issues, and ensure that you are prepared for any eventuality.

Another important aspect of planning is to budget carefully and manage your finances. This can help you avoid overspending and ensure that you have enough money to cover the cost of your trip, as well as any unexpected expenses that may arise. When budgeting for your road trip, consider the cost of gas, food, accommodations, activities, and any other expenses you may incur. You should also consider the cost of any emergency expenses, such as a flat tire or a dead battery. Set aside money to cover these costs.

Road Trip Activities

Once you have planned and prepared for your journey, the next step is to embrace the journey and make the most of your time on the road. This can involve a variety of activities and experiences. Make sure make stops for exploring new places, trying new foods, meeting new people, and creating lasting memories.

One way to embrace the journey is to be open to new experiences and opportunities. This can involve trying new activities, such as hiking, camping, or kayaking, or visiting places you have never been before. It can also involve trying new foods, such as local specialties or ethnic cuisines, or meeting new people, such as locals or other travelers. By being open to new experiences, you can enrich your road trip and create meaningful and lasting memories.

Another way to embrace the journey on your trip is to be present and mindful. This can involve taking the time to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the places you visit. Or being fully engaged in the activities and experiences you have on the road. It can also involve being present and attentive to your travel companions. You get to engage in meaningful conversations and activities with them. By being present and mindful, you can deepen your connection with the places you visit and the people you meet, and enrich your experience.

Overall, planning and embracing a successful road trip can be a fun and rewarding experience. By choosing a destination, creating a detailed itinerary, planning for potential challenges, managing your finances, and embracing the journey, you can ensure that your road trip is successful and enjoyable.

Adventure tourism is a form of travel where individuals actively seek out experiences that challenge their physical and mental abilities. These experiences often involve high-risk activities, such as white-water rafting, mountaineering, or skydiving. The focus is on adventure, personal growth, and the thrill of the unknown. Adventure tourism destinations are often remote and off the beaten path, offering unique cultural and natural experiences. The trend has grown in popularity in recent years, as travelers seek new and exciting ways to explore the world and challenge themselves. Adventure tourism can be expensive and physically demanding, but it offers a sense of accomplishment and personal fulfillment for those who participate.

Types of Adventure Tourism

Adventure tourism is different from traditional tourism, which typically involves sightseeing, relaxation, and leisure activities, in that it involves physical exertion, exploration, and excitement. It’s also distinct from ecotourism, which focuses on environmental conservation and education, though many of the destinations that are popular for this kind of tourism, like Costa Rica or Patagonia, are also known for their environmental conservation efforts.

Adventure activities vary greatly based on the destination. Some popular adventure destinations include New Zealand, Costa Rica, Nepal, Patagonia, Iceland, Bhutan, Australia, and Thailand. These destinations offer a wide range of activities, including hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and more. Each destination has its own unique offerings, making it important to research a specific location before planning a trip. You’ll also be sure to find a number of other adventures at these international locations.

Local Impact and Sustainability

Adventure tourism can have both positive and negative impacts on local communities. Adventure tourism can bring in revenue and create jobs for local communities. This can lead to economic growth and improved living conditions. Adventure tourism can also help to preserve and protect natural areas, as well as cultural heritage sites. Adventure tourism can also have negative impacts on local communities, such as increased traffic and strain on resources, like water and electricity. In some cases, adventure tourism can displace local residents or cause damage to cultural and natural resources.

Sustainability is key to ensuring that adventure tourism has a positive impact on local communities. Sustainable tourism practices, such as using eco-friendly accommodations and tour operators, can help to minimize the negative impacts of tourism and ensure that the benefits of tourism are shared with local communities. By choosing sustainable adventure tourism options, travelers can help to protect the environment and cultural heritage of the places they visit, while also supporting local communities.

Sustainable adventure tourism is a way to enjoy the thrill of adventure while minimizing its impact on the environment and local communities. It can be achieved by taking some proactive steps such as virtual reality experiences for those who are unable to physically participate, collaborating with local communities to provide authentic experiences, promoting low-impact and sustainable practices, catering to people with disabilities, combining adventure with education, offering brand-specific or self-guided tours, inviting bloggers or influencers to promote lesser-known destinations, and developing new and unusual activities. These steps can help minimize negative impacts and promote sustainable adventure tourism that is both enjoyable and responsible.

Adventure Smart

Adventure tourism activities come with inherent risks that can cause harm to both tourists and the environment. Physical injury or death are among the most common risks, which can be due to the nature of the activity, poor equipment, and lack of experience. Additionally, adventure tourism can also lead to damage to the natural environment through increased pollution and destruction of local communities’ cultural identities. To avoid these risks, it is important to choose licensed and trained guides to minimize the impact of adventure tourism activities on the environment and local communities. However, even with the best precautions, there is still a risk of disturbance or damage to wildlife habitats.

It’s vital to plan your adventure activities with a responsible and reputable tour company that prioritizes safety and sustainability. This includes hiring experienced guides, providing proper equipment, and partnering with local businesses. This can lessen environmental impact and ensure the support of local communities.

As a solo traveler, the world is your oyster. With the freedom to go wherever your heart desires, travel and adventure can be some of the most rewarding experiences in life. However, it’s important to be prepared and know what to expect when embarking on a solo journey. This article will cover some useful tips and resources for solo travelers to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.

First and foremost, it’s important to research your destination before you go. This means reading up on the local culture, customs, and potential dangers. The US Department of State’s website and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) website both provide valuable information and travel warnings for destinations around the world. It’s also a good idea to reach out to friends or acquaintances who have been to the destination and get their insights and advice.

Once you have a general idea of what to expect, it’s time to start planning your itinerary. While it can be tempting to pack your schedule with activities and sights to see, it’s important to leave some flexibility in your plans. After all, the best adventures often come from unexpected detours and spontaneity.

Safety Tips for Solo Travelers

Another important consideration for solo travelers is safety. This means taking common-sense precautions such as keeping a copy of your passport and important documents in a safe place, staying in well-lit areas at night, and being aware of your surroundings. It’s also a good idea to let someone know where you’ll be and how to contact you in case of a travel emergency. The International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers (IAMAT) provides a directory of English-speaking doctors around the world.

One of the best things about traveling solo is the opportunity to meet new people. Don’t be afraid to strike up conversations with locals and other travelers. Not only can this lead to new friendships, but it can also provide valuable insights and tips for your trip. Websites like Couchsurfing and Meetup are great resources for connecting with like-minded travelers and locals. Another tip for solo travelers is to consider joining group tours or activities. This can be a great way to see the sights and get a local’s perspective on the destination, all while being part of a group for safety and camaraderie.

For those seeking to engage with the local creatives while working, cafes can be a great place to meet people. These bustling hubs of inspiration are the perfect places to strike up conversations with local artists, writers, and other creatives. Not only will you get a taste of the local culture, but you’ll also have the opportunity to network, get tips and advice from those doing similar work, and make long-lasting connections with other remote workers.

Conclusion

Solo travel can be an incredibly rewarding experience. However, it’s important to remember that safety should always be a top priority. By doing your research and planning ahead, you can feel confident in your destination and itinerary. But don’t forget to leave room for spontaneity and unexpected detours. Making connections with locals and other travelers, and considering group activities can also enhance your solo adventure. By staying informed and being prepared, you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the culture and beauty of your destination, while feeling secure and safe throughout your journey. Embrace your adventurous spirit and make the most of your solo travel experience.

Being prepared for any emergency that may arise makes traveling an exciting and enriching experience. Whether it’s a natural disaster, a health emergency, or the loss of personal belongings, preparation can make all the difference. In this article, we will discuss the importance of emergency preparedness while traveling, and provide tips on what to do and what to pack to ensure a safe and stress-free trip.

Before You Go

Research Destination’s Emergency Contact Information

It is important to research the emergency contact information for your destination before you depart. This includes the contact information for local emergency services such as the police, fire department, and ambulance services as well as the contact information for embassies or consulates. This information can be found online or by contacting the local tourist board. Having this information on hand can make a big difference in case of a travel emergency.

Make Copies of Important Documents

Making copies of your important documents, such as your passport, ID, and insurance information, can be a lifesaver in case of theft or loss. Keep one set of copies with you, and leave another set with a trusted friend or family member. This will ensure that you have access to the necessary information even if your original documents are lost or stolen.

Inform Friends and Family of Travel Plans

Informing friends and family of your travel plans is crucial in case of an emergency. Provide them with your itinerary, contact information, and emergency contact information. Make sure they know when you are scheduled to return home and how to reach you in case of an emergency.

Pack a Basic Emergency Kit

Having a basic emergency kit can be the difference between a minor inconvenience and a major crisis. Your emergency kit should include first aid supplies, cash and credit cards, medications, and water and non-perishable snacks. Make sure to pack enough supplies for the entire duration of your trip and consider any specific needs you may have, such as extra medication or a water filter.

During Your Trip

Be aware of your surroundings

It’s important to always be aware of your surroundings while traveling. This includes staying alert and paying attention to any potential hazards or dangers, such as suspicious behavior or natural disasters. Being aware of your surroundings can help you identify potential dangers and take appropriate action to stay safe.

Follow Safety Guidelines

Following safety guidelines, such as those provided by local authorities or your hotel, can help keep you safe while traveling. This includes guidelines for dealing with natural disasters, staying safe in busy areas, and avoiding dangerous situations. Be sure to familiarize yourself with these guidelines before you depart.

Have a Plan for Emergency Situations

Being prepared for any emergency situation is essential. This includes having a plan for natural disasters, health emergencies, and the theft or loss of personal belongings. This can include knowing the location of emergency exits, having a basic first aid kit, and knowing the emergency contact information for your destination.

Keep Emergency Contact Information Easily Accessible

It’s important to keep emergency contact information, such as local emergency services and embassies or consulates, easily accessible while traveling. This can include keeping contact information on your phone or in a hard copy in your bag. Make sure that all contact information is up-to-date and that you know how to access it in case of a travel emergency.

After a Travel Emergency

Follow Local Authorities’ Instructions

In case of an emergency, it is essential to follow the instructions of local authorities. They train to handle emergency situations and provide the best guidance on how to stay safe. Follow any evacuation or shelter-in-place orders, and listen to local news and emergency alerts for updates on the situation.

Contact Emergency Contacts, Family and Friends

If you are able to, contact your emergency contacts, family, and friends to let them know that you are safe. This will provide them with peace of mind and allow them to assist you if necessary.

Seek Medical Attention if Necessary

Seek medical attention immediately if you are injured or think you require it. Follow the instructions of local authorities and medical personnel to ensure that you receive the appropriate care.

File a Report with Local Authorities

If you have been the victim of a crime or have suffered damages as a result of an emergency, file a report with local authorities. This will document the incident and may be necessary for insurance claims or legal proceedings.

Contact Your Insurance Company and Document Any Damages

If your personal belongings or travel plans have been affected by an emergency, contact your insurance company as soon as possible. They will be able to guide you through the process of filing a claim and will need documentation of any damages. Keep all receipts, documents and photos of damages, to document the incident and make it easier for your insurance company to process your claim.

Be Prepared for a Travel Emergency

Traveling can be a wonderful experience, but it is essential to be prepared for any emergency that may occur. By researching destination emergency contact information, making copies of important documents, and packing a basic emergency kit, you can ensure that you are ready for any situation that may arise. Always be aware of your surroundings and follow safety guidelines. In case of an emergency, follow the instructions of local authorities, seek medical attention if necessary, and contact your insurance company to document any damages. Remember, a little bit of planning and preparation can go a long way in keeping you safe and stress-free while traveling.

The digital nomad lifestyle has been on the rise in recent years, with more and more people choosing to work remotely and travel the world at the same time. This way of living has been made possible by advances in technology, making it possible for people to work from anywhere with an internet connection. However, as with any new lifestyle, there are pros and cons. In this blog post, we will explore the lifestyle, including its benefits and drawbacks, and provide tips and resources for those considering becoming a digital nomad.

What is a Digital Nomad?

A digital nomad is someone who uses technology to work remotely while traveling the world. This type of lifestyle allows individuals to have location independence, meaning they are not tied down to a specific location and can work from anywhere. Digital nomads often work in the fields of web development, graphic design, writing, or online marketing.

digital nomad

Benefits of Being a Digital Nomad

One of the biggest benefits of being a digital nomad is the ability to travel the world while working. Many digital nomads choose to live in foreign countries, experiencing new cultures and ways of life. Additionally, digital nomads often have more control over their work schedule and can choose to work when they are most productive.

Another benefit of being a digital nomad is the ability to save money on living expenses. Rent and utility bills are often much lower in foreign countries, and many digital nomads choose to live in co-working spaces or coffee shops to save money on rent.

Furthermore, digital nomads often have more flexibility in their work, allowing them to take online courses or start their own online business. This flexibility allows them to pursue their passions and interests while still earning a living.

Drawbacks of Being a Digital Nomad

While there are many benefits to being a digital nomad, there are also some drawbacks to consider. One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of a consistent living space. Digital nomads often move around frequently and do not have a permanent home. This can make it difficult to form long-term relationships and make connections in a new place.

Another drawback is the lack of health insurance. Many digital nomads do not have health insurance while traveling, which can be a major concern if they fall ill or need medical attention. It is important for digital nomads to research health insurance options before embarking on their journey.

Additionally, digital nomads often have to deal with the stress of trying to maintain a consistent internet connection, which can be difficult in some foreign countries. This can make it difficult to stay connected with clients and complete work on time.

Tips for Becoming a Digital Nomad

If you’re considering becoming a digital nomad, there are a few things you should consider before making the leap. First, it is important to have a plan for your finances. Being a digital nomad often means living in foreign countries with a lower cost of living, but it is important to have a budget and plan for unexpected expenses.

Another important consideration is your work schedule. Being a digital nomad often means working remotely and dealing with time zone differences. It is important to have a schedule that allows you to be productive while still enjoying your travels.

Lastly, it is important to have a plan for your internet connection. Many digital nomads rely on Wi-Fi in coffee shops or co-working spaces, but it is important to have a backup plan in case the internet connection is not reliable.

Resources for Digital Nomads

There are many resources available for digital nomads, including online communities and forums where you can connect with other digital nomads and get advice and tips for living the nomadic lifestyle. Some popular digital nomad communities include NomadList, Remote Year, and Digital Nomad Girls.

Additionally, there are a variety of websites and apps that cater to digital nomads, such as Workfrom, which helps digital nomads find the best working spaces in different cities, and Remote.co, which lists remote job opportunities.

Another important resource for is a credit card with no foreign transaction fees, as many digital nomads often use credit cards to make purchases while traveling. This can help save money and avoid additional fees.

Lastly, it is important to have a good internet connection while traveling. Many digital nomads opt for a portable Wi-Fi device, such as a Mi-Fi or global SIM card, to ensure they have a reliable internet connection while on the go.

In conclusion, the digital nomad lifestyle can be incredibly rewarding, offering the ability to travel the world while working. However, it is important to consider the drawbacks and make a plan for finances, work schedule, and internet connection before making the leap. With the right resources and mindset, anyone can become a successful digital nomad.

Rituals have long been a part of human society. They have served as a way for our ancestors to gather and form cohesive groups. The power of ritual helped to define their commonalities, identity, and way of life. It allowed them to participate in meaningful collective behavior. The earliest known rituals often involved meat and food sharing. The study of cut marks on animal bones suggests that early hunters did not have strict rules for carving meat. Later patterns show more organized cuts, indicating that meat may have been carved by a specialized hunter and shared with the group.

As humanity evolved, our rituals shifted to focus on things beyond food and meat sharing. These elaborate social rites and ceremonies defined and differentiated certain groups from one another, giving rise to social identity and collective tradition. Today, when we talk about rituals, we are referring to customs, holidays, or spiritual practices. Some of the most common ones, such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, or memorials, are understood by most people. In fact, most are often carried out in similar ways. While some rituals may be more personal, they still remind us of something beyond ourselves. They can be small family or team traditions, or larger spiritual communities. By participating in something that is both deeply personal and collectively meaningful, we create ritual through shared experience.

dinners, birthday, and holidays are common rituals

Power of Ritual Through Repetition and Rhythm

Any repeated activity with intention or meaning can be considered a ritual. For example, some people have self-care rituals they do at home for relaxation. Others create a specific rhythm for meaningful hobbies like carefully laying out tools for wood carving or setting up paints and canvas for painting. Even in this alternative sense, these rituals can connect us to larger associations or emotional stories. Laying out tools like our father did or setting up painting supplies as an homage to creativity can contain an element of ceremony, even if they are not grand or bold.

The repetition of an activity, whether it is a physical movement or the recitation of words, can have a powerful effect on our emotional state. Research has shown that simple routines can enhance feelings of safety, confidence, and overall well-being. This is likely because repetition can help to focus the mind and eliminate distractions, allowing us to fully engage in the present moment. The use of repetition in ritual has been a part of spiritual and meditative practices for centuries. It helps provide a grounding and calming effect. Even if we are not consciously aware of it, the simple act of repeating an activity can invoke a sense of peace and positivity. So the next time you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, try repeating a simple action or phrase to help bring yourself back to a state of calm and clarity.

morning ritual

Familiar Rituals

The holiday season is a good time to reflect on the rituals in our lives. Even if you haven’t celebrated a specific holiday this past month, the slower, more introspective mood of winter may inspire you to think about the rituals that currently populate your life. Take some time to assess these rituals and consider which ones enhance your sense of community and connection, which ones are comforting or have positive influences, and which ones may have lost their meaning and now take up mental and logistical space without providing any value. This may be a good time to redefine old rituals or create new ones.

A study conducted by researchers from the University of Syracuse found a connection between couples participating in spiritual holiday rituals and their marital satisfaction. Subjects of different religious backgrounds who shared holiday customs, such as lighting the menorah or decorating for Christmas, reported higher levels of relationship happiness. Interestingly, the connection was not dependent on the degree of spiritual devotion, but on the active experience of sharing in the ritual itself. The researchers stated that “couples embrace the symbolic aspects of celebrations and value the opportunity to reaffirm their beliefs and relationship.”

The findings of this study highlight the impact of meaningful ritual on bonding individuals together through common experiences and stories. This can be difficult to come by in modern society, but our ancestors valued rituals that fed the community, honored important transitions, or recreated their cosmological narratives. These elemental rituals can connect us to our primal inclinations and remind us of what is truly important. In a fast-paced and virtual world, returning to these ancient practices can help bring us back to our roots.

What role does power of ritual have in a post-modern world?
